schestowitz[TR2]"Dear members, dear colleagues,Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]We have already been contacted by disappointed colleagues who did not receive a promotion or step in April 2026, despite their hard work in 2025, and feel this is unfair.Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]If you are in this situation and either received a good performance report for 2025 or contested your 2025 performance report, you can contest this decision by filing a request for review (RfR). The RfR must be filed within 3 months following the earliest of the following 2 dates: when your manager contacted you to announce the decision, or the 24th of April (April 2026 payslip).Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]Colleagues with good or better performance reports have received a step or promotion with retroactive effect or monetary compensation after having filed a RfR and followed through to the subsequent internal appeal stage.Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]SUEPO Munich will be distributing the template RfR - updated by our lawyer - to members upon demand. If you wish to receive the RfR template, please fill in this form.Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]In the meantime, we recommend starting to draft the arguments relevant to your situation, supported with relevant written traces (e.g. appraisal report, documents proving supplementary activities...). A request for review should include the receivability, facts, grounds for review and what you are requesting. You will have to provide arguments showing any of the following criteria for challenging discretionary decisions:Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Abuse of powerJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Breach of procedureJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Error of lawJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Error of relevant factJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Consideration of irrelevant factsJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    DiscriminationJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Failure to consider relevant factsJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]    Manifestly wrong conclusion based on correct factsJul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]ILOAT Judgment 4711, consideration 8 states: “Even though the new system is not automatic, neither is it left to an unfettered discretion.” The main objective of your RfR will be to prove that this was not the case in your situation. For more information about the process of contesting the lack of reward, see overview here.Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]Out of courtesy, it is advisable to inform your line manager that you will be filing a RfR. Do not hesitate to contact us at munich@suepo.org if you have any questions or if you need support at any stage of the procedure.Jul 12 06:32
schestowitz[TR2]Sincerely yours"Jul 12 06:32

schestowitz[TR2] LOL. He did an AMA around this time last summer, and one of the first things out of his mouth was that he didn’t believe politics or political maneuvering happened at Albany. You could practically feel the collective shock in the room. It was palpable. This was coming from someone who had just been transferred to take over a department he had little to no experience with or background in. To many people, the move looked like a tJul 12 21:31
schestowitz[TR2]extbook example of politics and favoritism.Jul 12 21:31
schestowitz[TR2]The irony only got worse later into the year when his department’s individual team’s employee survey scores each ended up among the lowest in all of IBM, dipping to around -30% in many categories. Yet, as usual, HR seemed content to sit on its hands while everyone else watched the fallout.Jul 12 21:31

schestowitz[TR2]Are you talking about JS? He’s so full of it. The politics surrounding him and the political games he plays are unreal. He’s always preaching about being “data-driven”… right up until the data and facts don’t support the narrative he’s trying to sell. Then suddenly the rules change.Jul 12 21:31
schestowitz[TR2]It’s honestly amazing he’s managed to survive this long. Every team or project he touches seems to either slowly die on the vine or crash and burn outright. I genuinely don’t understand how senior leadership hasn’t connected the dots yet. At this point, you almost have to wonder if he’s their designated executioner. They send him in whenever they want to quietly ki-l something while pretending it was just “business deciJul 12 21:31

schestowitz[TR2]@OP - Have you ever thought how IBM is able to sell such products to the clients? Clients also have similar mo--ns who know nothing about the product or how the product they are spending millions for is going to solve their business need, but they are in the position to make such purchasing decisions and that is what keeps IBM in business.Jul 12 21:31
schestowitz[TR2]The moment engineers like you and I and several others who have what it takes to build a product get into these positions, the professional landscape is going to look a lot different. IBM knows it and so does other fortune 500 companies, and they would never want us in these decision making positions.Jul 12 21:31

schestowitz[TR2]We all know IBM is in the 20% bracket - The correct way of utilizing in IBM is to tell a narrative that the company saved $4.5 billion by using AI for HR, all the savings or the return on investment as Krishna calls it, are actually from payroll cuts that impacted 8000 jobs.Jul 12 21:32

schestowitz[TR2]@Ej. ÌBM would gladly give up 50-65% of their consulting business as its low profit labor intensive repeditive task operations. The problem is no one else wants that kind of business either and that includes the body shop operations like wipro. IBM knows this and is hoping AI will automate that 50-65% of the business. Until then the only hope is IBM throws something else into the mix, to make the acquirer feel like there is value Jul 12 21:35

All started 4-1-93 when Gerstner came in and set IBM on the path of "financial engineering" vs making great things as it did for decades.
