The [07:09] schestowitz__ > terminal icon is in the public domain. Amphora is a remix of CCSA. [07:09] schestowitz__ > [07:09] schestowitz__ >> As for desktop icon, I have an iconless desktop. The dots are there so that I can have multiple icons with [07:09] schestowitz__ > different numbers of dots. So if I have terminals 1-6 open, for [07:09] schestowitz__ > example, the icons shown when I hit alt-tab will each show a different [07:09] schestowitz__ > number of dots. For me the only other option would be to use even more [07:09] schestowitz__ > different icons. [07:09] schestowitz__ Did you ever consider using xbindkety? I work across (or regardless of) DEs and it's easy to memorise as you make your own shortcuts, inc. for mouse actions. In 2004 I experimented a lot with wayv (mouse gestures), but they don't save time compared to keyboard, so I abandoned that. [07:16] schestowitz__ One risk associated with CMS changes (except the security patches; those can be applied more easily) is breaking of redirections and URLs long used by people. Back in the old days there were several different URLs for Atom and RSS 1.2/2. I'm sure that with "GUTENBERG" and other fake innovation they already break some fine stuff, which I am reluctant to explore. [07:16] schestowitz__ I spent a lot of time the other week trying to figure out why wordpress, after I had set it up, would not let me compose anything. I thought it was a server problem. Turned out "GUTENBERG" is JS mess and without JS turned out it acts all weird and funny. I heard their UI person resigned over the "GUTENBERG" decision, which they still bragged about 2 days ago: http://www.tuxmachines.org/node/147897 [07:16] -TechBytesBot/#techbytes-www.tuxmachines.org | Reflecting on Gutenbergs 100th Release | Tux Machines [07:17] schestowitz__ Re: Disk usage on the RPi [07:17] schestowitz__ > $ df -h / [07:17] schestowitz__ > Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on [07:17] schestowitz__ > /dev/root 12G 7.8G 3.6G 69% / [07:17] schestowitz__ > [07:17] schestowitz__ > $ du -sh ~/gemini [07:17] schestowitz__ > 624M /home/gemini/gemini [07:17] schestowitz__ > [07:17] schestowitz__ > $ date -u [07:17] schestowitz__ > Sat 20 Feb 17:52:14 UTC 2021 [07:17] schestowitz__ That's actually far better than I thought. I wonder, what would happen if we hard/soft-linked the bulletins and IRC logs across different users' account (if possible) instead of copying them across. There's duplication.
