[22:18]	schestowitz	India has announced a new government-funded, mobile operating system, called BharOS, as part of a plan to make India self-reliant in the tech sector, including telecommunications and chip fabrication, reports Christine Hall.
[22:18]	schestowitz	Bharos is basically de-Googled Android featuring security enhancements, Hall says. No news yet on when BharOS will be available for download, or which and how many devices it will support out-of-the-box when it does, she notes.
