schestowitz> I know this trick. I first read about it when a guy couldn't get Dell to stop sending him catalogues. It was seriously creating labour for him to recycle, or even shovel all the crap from Dell out of his house-- Dell was like the army of owls trying to deliver Harry's first letter from Hogwarts. Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> He told the post office he found the Dell materials pornographic and wished them to stop. The penalty if Dell continued to send him mail was actually several enough to get them to stop for a long time. It was a very funny article, alas I can't find the link. I bet DFC is familiar with it. At any rate, bravo for using the same trick.Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> DaemonFC[m]    I took them to the little counter where you write letters and stuff and filled them out and brought them back with the bankruptcy used car spam.    Jun 02 03:17Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> DaemonFC[m]    She said, "What are these?".    Jun 02 03:17Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> DaemonFC[m]    I said, "I find these used car ads to be erotic and sexually explicit and I do not wish to receive them in my mail anymore. Please file these with the department on the form.".    Jun 02 03:18Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> DaemonFC[m]    She said, "Well, how is a used car ad sexually explicit?".    Jun 02 03:18Jun 04 04:21
schestowitz> DaemonFC[m]    I said, "Well the Supreme Court in Rowan v. United States Post Office Department in 1970 ruled that I decide what is sexually explicit and you don't get to persist in asking me why, but perhaps I find used car ads to be pornographic and would like for them to stop."Jun 04 04:21

DaemonFC[m]Aa far as I know, Brave is the only browser that really intends to have an actual Prive Mode. It has regular private mode where it just doesn't log things and your browser cookies are not loaded, but it has a Private Mode with Tor option that additionally uses Tor and plugs some of the ways it could leak yoir identity.Jun 04 19:38
DaemonFC[m]It's beta, so they suggest Tor Browser if you need anything other than just making it much more difficult to track you.Jun 04 19:38
DaemonFC[m]Firefox was looking at having Tor Tabs, but since the spying agencies have gone so far as to say they're the internet villain of the year (UK) for bypassing their default porn censorship.....Jun 04 19:39
