DaemonFC[m]On the flip side, the Governor says if it doesn't pass, he'll recommend an increase in the flat tax of over 25%, then everyone gets hurt, or spending cuts that goes after health, education, and first responders.Aug 25 00:34
DaemonFC[m]On balance, I'm leaning towards voting for the amendment.Aug 25 00:35
DaemonFC[m]It seems a 25% tax hike or a cut to public services would really hurt us, but I'm not really expecting much of a tax break.Aug 25 00:35
DaemonFC[m]It seems that everything that aims to make government live within its means just results in bigger deficits as they keep spending anyway and borrow at higher interest rates.Aug 25 00:37

DaemonFC[m]ago and the virus gains root, you could be infected. If your IT situation is that bad, you have bigger problems than this.Aug 25 21:17
DaemonFC[m]It's fairly obvious that Microsoft is behind this, because the FBI is also pushing people to give up Windows 7.  It doesn't have as much spyware baked into it as Windows 10, and there are people out there who are perfectly happy to keep running it as a certain forum keeps slipping them EOL updates one at a time, intended for enterprise customers who pay obscene amounts of money.Aug 25 21:18
MinceRmaybe the FBI wants to be able to break into more PCs via the backdoors their friends in redmond gave themAug 25 21:19
DaemonFC[m]I think that as Windows goes, it would likely be less of a nighmare to patch Windows 7 one hole at a time, manually, with EOL updates, than to try to keep Windows 10 going. Aug 25 21:19

DaemonFC[m]Microsoft shuffled everything around after Windows 7 and got rid of the Program Manager behind Windows 7, which was surprisingly stable. The GUI was also definitely their best since Windows 95. But then they went down this route with an incoherent interface that continues to make no sense at all, and Windows 10 is more unstable than Vista. Aug 25 21:22
