Humans Are Naturally Humans, Sophisticated Animals But Not Machines

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Nov 22, 2023

Treat people like humans, which is what they are (and have long evolved to become), or they might become 'subhuman', unruly, and a risk to themselves, not just to society 3-D drawing of an Android cyborg isolated on white background

THE human race is being rendered a "commodity" with numerical IDs to be used for "fusion" - like primary keys putting together data-mined "profiles" and "big data" (all are euphemisms, a la "telemetry" and "profiling" to "improve your experience"). They use terms like "credit score" or "file" or "search" (akin to China's "social" or Community Party "score").

Surveillance such as this isn't meant to reward people but to flag and optionally punish them for particular views, actions, choices, or mere connections to other "disgraced" (low-scoring) "commodities".

The dehumanisation of society is pervasive and troubling. People are represented by avatars and usernames, which can be "shadowbanned" at any time, and they walk through a maze of computerised discrimination - an algorithmic process that the corporate media likes to 'abstract away' as "hey hi" (AI). This media says the same about automation and all sorts of other longstanding things, including the outsourcing of tasks to the client, which isn't automation at all. Cost-cutting isn't "AI" and "AI" won't cut costs; it creates many new problems.

If you treat humans like primitive animals incapable of thinking and even basic empathy, you will in turn (gradually) make them act and think like machines (reactionary instinct in the face of mistreatment), not in the obedience sense but in the sense they lose innate attributes like mercy and sympathy.

Skinner box For society to thrive we need to constantly assess whether a program we develop (or merely use) devalues humans and treats them like mere robots. Even animals have more empathy than functional robots.

Many supposedly modern computer paradigms have reduced people to rats and pigeons. It keeps people occupied yet extremely unproductive and overall dissatisfied like a chronic gambler or drug addict.
