2 days ago the Gemini capsule of Techrights served over 100k pages for the first time ever (100,000+ Gemini requests in 24 hours). But that was mostly bots, which meant server resources were devoted to feeding some unknown and likely worthless program somewhere.
Gemini Protocol is community and it turns 5 in exactly one month [1, 2].
Let's hope it doesn't become renowned or notorious for bot traffic. Some people have openly complained that their capsule was getting hammered by bots. █
