The War on Free Software Reporters - Part V - Death Threats
EARLIER on we mentioned "Threats of Defamation, Physical and Sexual Violence", quoting or paraphrasing another person, a frequent writer who had been mistreated. After some delay we carry on with this still-ongoing series about how reporters are targeted. Some of the death threats were mentioned in prior parts. In Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV we covered a number of different aspects.
All these attacks target people who report on Free software affairs.
Earlier today a reader wrote to us just to say: "This is very upsetting! I have seen some crazy things when it comes to censoring. So, my friend who was one of the Gentoo devs back in the 90s started reporting. One day, he uncovered a man who had falsified the reason he was disabled during action, and he tried to censor the story in court. Federal court, which is just so happened to be in my jurisdiction. Of course, I have been friends with the Gentoo dev for years. I met with him at a coffee shop to look over the paperwork. The real story here was the disabled vet was about to get a donation of a house, and he didn’t want the story to jeopardize that, so he went after the reporters."
Please be aware that a serial defamer and bully is now attacking my wife some more and filing a lawsuit trying to censor us. At the same time there are attempts to censor information about this lawsuit. No kidding! That's adding insult to injury because it was us who had been physically threatened, with allusions to knives and to axes. Not too shockingly, this serial defamer constantly speaks with Microsofters (Simon Bisson), even today in Mastodon. █
