Adoption of outsourcing/centralisation for certificates isn't much better than the UEFI snake-oil. Users lose power, not gain power. Mozilla already ramps up this effort to impose CAs on every site (the latest build of Firefox), appeasing Google/GAFAM and screwing the users of Firefox.
