Peaches n Cream and Hummingbird Dreams
Me and James sat porchside. his apartment is the building over from where I live. To the left of his porch, flowers. The apartment adjacent, hummingbird feeders, the garden adjacent from that, more feeders.
I had came in from the convenience store, and he asked if I wanted a Peaches N Cream Dr Pepper, I accepted. We sat for 20 minutes chatting, hummingbirds buzzing and swooping and diving - from flower, to feeder, to foliage and fern. The sun rising caused a mist of morning dew, beams striking through the mist, groupings og gnats clustered in the rays therein.

My Experience Going Vegan Day 4
Today was pretty uneventful as far as being vegan is concerned, I guess past a point what's strange becomes ordinary, anyways here's what I munched.

Player-organized expeditions into Arden Vul
Back when I read about the West Marches there was one thing I didn't understand: "There was no regular time: every session was scheduled by the players on the fly."

Custom search on iOS
I like to use a combination of Brave and Kagi searches, however on iOS you can't install your own search engines. This article describes how I managed to set up search behavior in Safari on iOS to my own liking.

A new episode for Internet Office Hours
It's been quiet as far as podcasting is concerned, but a few days ago we recorded another episode of the Internet Office Hours podcast. We talked about Maps and Mapping. This is our 16th regular episode.

Restructuring
I've held this little space on the smol.pub for a while already, enough to know that, yes, this is working for me, and yes, I like this place. I like both reading the posts in the feed (I read all of them! well, all the ones in English or Spanish), and I like writing my thoughts here, even if I don't do it as often as I sometimes would like to.
Having confessed my enjoyment of the smol.pub, I must now take the next step. I have used this place rather haphazardly, merely blurting out a post whenever I feel compelled to express myself, and letting it sink into the feed with time. Only I can easily access my posts, and I haven't made a systematic effort at structuring this as a sort of "personal space"'; it's time to change that. I have seen others here "announce" a restructuring of their space, so why not me? I can use this space to outline the intentions of how I expect to use the little space I have on the smol.pub which m15o has been so kind as to provide.

BBS Wormhole....
Oh crap, thanks Youtube, for serving me up more retro-type goodness that I cannot avoid. Al's Geek Lab has a whole series of videos about how those pre-WWW thingies called BBS's are actually still alive and thriving. I will have to explore some more.

Forgoing social media to be anonymously intimate
this idea of being intimate with strangers is very fascinating.
social media has become the antithesis that it was designed for. It shouldn't be named social media as such.
one can never be intimate with 1000s of people. it's far more easier, personal and intimate to talk like this: in intervals. taking a break from constant sharing and instead being intentional about what you are sharing to a select few people, who are anonymous and who are of similar temperaments.
