Number of Gemini Capsules Rising Closer to 4,100, Certificate Authority "Let's Encrypt" Down to 1.1%
"So, one thing you've gotta do for a world like this that everyone can participate in is to make sure your web sites are accessible without running non-Free Javascript." -Richard M. Stallman (weeks ago)
LAST month we celebrated Lupa's capsules count reaching and exceeding 4,000 for the first time. Less than a month has passed and now it's past 4,050 (i.e. rounded up to 4.1k):
A lot has also changed since then when it comes to the Linux Foundation's Certificate Authority (CA), which was found on 2% of capsules. Now it's down to 1.1%. It was 1.2% just 2 days ago.
Some time soon the Certificate Authority "Let's Encrypt" will probably fall below 1%. It was about 12% only a couple of years ago.
The way today's Web is "done" may seem "modern", but that means nothing for the user. Over time the Web gravitates towards corporate interests at the users' expense. █
