A Re-framing of Priorities
Over the last few months I have been on somewhat of a personal development journey; having been suffering from a relatively rare, though not entirely uncommon, bout of clinical depression, I've come to realise what I need to do is cast aside a lot of the mental baggage I'm holding on to. To be honest, I'm still in the midst of this process.
Part of my malaise is no doubt due to my persistent habit of straying off course, trying to do things I'm not meant to be doing, trying to be something I'm not. I have to constantly realign myself, and if I don't do this I fall into The Dark.

Journalist
So I ended up caring about it more than I thought.
There are many different reasons as to why someone wants to become a journalist growing up, but typically it has to do with how they want to "report the truth" or to "unravel the story of others". It can get more complex than that but that's the simpliest way to look at why one wants it.
Let's say they want to show the truth to the world, they would quickly realise that it's very hard to actually do it, after all if the truth is meaningful it would also take a high amount of effort to be able to be seen, let alone uncovered.

Fun with a Power Mag G4
I booted my old Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics). This is a machine with a 400 MHz PowerPC G4 and 704 MB RAM memory from around 1999.
It is running Mac OS X 10.3.9.
While I was working at the University of Delft, one of the professors gifted me this wonderful machine. It came with two hard disk, a 9.57 GB Quantum Fireball and a 74.53 GB Western Digital. Also it came with a lovely monitor, an 15 inch flat panel Graphite Apple Studio Display with a resolution of 1024x768.

Donation Station
These are all individuals and organizations that I have some kind of recurring donation to. I added and maintain this section of the site because it's important to show that there's more ways to support creators directly than paying subscriptions to big companies like Spotify and YouTube. If you like someone's work, and you have the means, support them directly!
