In Sweden, GNU/Linux Almost 20% of the Laptop/Desktop Market, Firefox Falls to 2%
THIS month the usage (estimated levels of access to the Web) of GNU/Linux and ChromeOS is very high in Sweden. Looking at Windows versions, only a third use Vista 11 (two thirds use some other version of Windows) and factoring in mobile, or bearing in mind half the people still use desktops/laptops, Windows basically fell from 92% to about 33% in just 15 years. Browsers-wise, Mozilla Firefox has fallen:
Down from 35% in 2009 to just 2% now:
2.26%.
In the US, once a browser falls below 2%, many critical sites can legally ignore it (or its users' needs) altogether. Not sure about Sweden... █
