    In our house, in the deepest corner of the kitchen cabinet, stood an unused teapot with a heater. A set that my wife and I enjoyed using at the beginning of our acquaintance. It went into almost complete oblivion after the lower part, the warmer, that is the stand on which to place the teapot and in which to place a candle to warm the tea, broke. It went into oblivion even though it was immediately repaired. But it remained with us there, in the corner of the kitchen cabinet, on the top shelf.

    Summer went great the bike trip didn't go as planned but i still went drove around 700km my knees hurt for 2 days after the trip ;-; Will post the photo's somewhere later maybe after I get a static site up?

  • Ready as I'll Ever Be

    It's a Friday morning; I've got an hour till work. Behind me on the kitchen counter are two bags, both for this weekend. Bib numbers, instructions, a medium t-shirt, an athletic towel: several months ago, I decided to run, twice.

    Tomorrow's run is a 3k, and the most manageable. If I want (and I probably should), I can take it at a training pace. Treat it like any of the 3-5 km runs I do around the neighbourhood with my dogs, and hit the finish line with a time of Who Cares. I signed up for this one because it's my neighbourhood run; I can literally roll out of bed, get into my running clothes, and walk to the start line in five minutes. It's not the most beautiful course I've ever been on, or the most interesting, but it's close, and that's not nothing.

      Development of version 1.18 has been a slow burn. Over the past year, I've been putting finishing touches on the Curses-based TUI variant and adding support for new Gemini-adjacent protocols. A number of bugs were fixed as well, and I've made several minor improvements in the user interface.

      Let me know if you have trouble running the clagrange binaries. They seem to work for me but there are so many different terminals and possible platforms out there. Weird things may always happen!

      One unexplained issue I'm having is that, with certain compilers, clagrange does not display proper output unless the compilation flags use -O1 (or sometimes -O2). It is perhaps due to undefined behavior _somewhere_ that is messing up the compiler optimizations when it comes to the Curses rendering. It might be related to statically linking Curses to the executable.
