Microsoft Lost Nearly Half of Its 'Cash Reserves' This Past Year
And those aren't even cash reserves; "Cash on Hand" is a misleading term. To quote: "Cash on hand, sometimes referred to as cash or cash equivalents (CCE), is the total amount of cash a business can access, whether from its on-site paper bills or from its bank accounts and assets. Typically, business owners consider any asset they can liquidate into cash in 90 days or fewer as cash on hand."
So Microsoft still has less "Cash on Hand" than money it owes (debt). It's slipping out of control, hence the ongoing mass layoffs. Is Microsoft (MSFT) the next Intel (INTC)?
