This Coming Week
LATER THIS week, starting at 9PM UTC on our 18th anniversary, there will be some maintenance happening (upstream, unrelated to us). We still hope to benefit from such works (switching and such), even if they mean some temporary downtimes. The site is reasonably fast, even from across the Atlantic, and from here (Manchester) fully loading pages takes about a tenth of a second because the latency is low. Our server serves about 15 Web pages per second and that's not counting stuff such as Gemini and IRC. We're always serving information to people, except when there are downtimes. Thankfully downtimes have been rare since moving to the new server; we're more resistant to attacks such as DDoS and IRC abuse.
This coming week there's an election in the US. Go exercise your right to vote; don't take such rights for granted! █
