On Words and Apologies
We might not be able to determine how far our words reach in the world, but the fact that they're in the world at all is on us. We might not be able to determine how our words are taken by others, but the fact that they're taken at all in one way or another is on us. Even if it's not our intention to be offensive with our words, we still intend to say those words; thus, the effects of those words are on us. Merely being aware of what we say isn't enough; we must be aware of how they're heard, too, and take that into account when we say it. When others call us out on our words being harmful, we need to accept that and apologize. What we shouldn't do is be stingy with our apologies; they're not some rare nonrenewable resource, after all, but an expression of "I messed up, please forgive me, I will try to do better". That's all, that's it.

Rude
I don't understand why the scum of the Earth like drug addicts, gamblers, etc. are coddled and "felt sorry for" in today's society. I was watching a video that talked about sports gambling. I hate sports gambling. The fucking annoying shitheads that are crying "Don't ruin my parlay" and "I need another TD!" because they are playing games with their money is annoying. Keep your degeneracy and stupidity to yourself, you fucking moron.

What is to be done about Anti-Social Behaviour?
Last week there were two UK government announcements about housing, on leasehold and anti-social behaviour (ASB). The leasehold announcement caused something of a stir and I shall try to write on it later. But the ASB announcement also caught my eye:

ON-DRIVE PROCESSING
I wasted most of the time I was going to spend writing this on fixing GophHub again, because GitHub inevitably removed newlines from their JSON output, which I was relying on to parse it in Bash. So this is the short version:
Large data storage/processing systems are based around clusters of small computers. These can execute tasks in parallel patterns to reduce lattency.
When you're just doing something simple like searching for a string or moving/copying data, why not have some way to program the drive so it can do that itself. GPUs already have OpenGL for telling them to go and do repetitive mathematical transformations on their own, why not HDDs and SSDs?

Loquendo
I've been trying to install Loquendo on Void Linux but for some reason it doesn't starts the TTS Director so I was searching about how to make Loquendo work on Linux on the web.

I'm excited to announce version 0.1.0 of geminauts. Geminauts is a service which allows for anyone to easily create their own capsule. Since this is the first time I have really talked about the project, I want to give you an introduction of what we do, how you can use it, and how it works.
