South America: GNU/Linux Grew to 8.15% Venezuela, Steadily Over 3% Overall
Venezuela higher than the average:
Examining this month's data from statCounter, we see Windows at 27% in Venezuela and GNU/Linux growing nicely. In the neighbour Colombia it's at 3.35% and in South America in general Android grew to 60%, Windows is at 29%. GNU/Linux is what interests us though. After it gradually grew it stays at about 3.05% (it was around 1% before the pandemic), holding steady above 3%. Chromebooks never caught on in that region and that's OK because ChromeOS isn't the destination anyway. It's just some convenient way to deprive Microsoft of income, deepening the company's humongous debt (it's cooking the books at this point). █
