IBM and Canonical Leave Money on the Table Because Microsoft Pays Them Not to Compete and Instead Market Windows, WSL, Microsoft 'Clown Computing', and TPMs
Billions of people around the world have a good reason to delete Windows and migrate their (existing) PCs to GNU/Linux. Microsoft will no longer issue essential patches for them and moreover it demands that they purchase new PCs because of TPM nonsense (this has absolutely nothing to do with security; lockdown isn't security).
Unfortunately for Microsoft, people in poor countries will not buy new PCs. Heck, many of them never had an interest in Vista 11. Consider a pair of neighbouring countries in Africa:
There are many more like them, not just in Africa. For instance, Vista 11 got stuck at 21% in Bangladesh (population 174,549,893) and 18% in Pakistan (population 253,103,716).
People must ask themselves, why aren't IBM and Canonical taking advantage of this situation to market GNU/Linux and are instead promoting Microsoft? Where are the regulators? This is corruption. This is not a free market. Fedora is being gutted by IBM and is now devoting resources to Windows (WSL), not GNU/Linux. █
