Massive Gains for GNU/Linux in Australia This Year

HAVING covered the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and even New Zealand this morning (Windows and/or GNU/Linux trends in 2024), let's look at Australia, where GNU/Linux "proper" is now at 2.33% instead of 1.56% like one year ago. That's roughly a 50% relative increase.

Windows lost clout and Android was the biggest gainer.

On to a slightly different (but timely) topic..

Speaking of Australia, is it too late for Joe Biden to pardon Julian Assange? Not yet? Biden pardoning him would liberate leakers (including Wikileaks sources) in the second "Trump era". Didn't Democrats adore and champion Wikileaks when it was exposing George Bush's (the second) war crimes and more? Remember it wasn't Democrats who wanted to extrajudicial murder an Aussie in London (busy hub in England). That was Trump's bucket of deplorables.

Australian politicians weigh banning or restricting access (based on age) to social control media; they don't care if it's controlled by Xi, MElon, or Sucker-berg [1, 2].
