Microsoft Tries to Force People Into Vista 11 by Stopping Vista 10 Patching, Herding Them Into TPMdom
It's backfiring:
Since putting up "the heat" on users of "old" Windows we've seen GNU/Linux share going up. But the same is true for Vista 10. This must be embarrassing for Microsoft (or why they recently reworded TPM demands):
It's not just bad fortune or obscene oversight that explains why Canonical, IBM, and the Linux Foundation have not even attempted to take advantage of this. They're just Microsoft resellers [1, 2, 3] and front groups. They're worthless as they abandoned the community. Greg Farough (FSF) says keep putting pressure on Microsoft, but Canonical, IBM, and the Linux Foundation just shine the boots of Bill Gates harder and harder. They apply pressure to the boot while gleefully promoting 'secure' (read: back doored) boot. So their trajectory is towards back doors (government and corporate control over computer users), not control by computer users. █
