Record Lows for Windows (Microsoft) in Botswana
Last May: Windows Down to All-Time Low in Botswana, Android Surges to 63%
Last June: Botswana: GNU/Linux Rising Closer to 3% (Windows Down to Quarter of All Web-Connected Devices)
Last December: Botswana: New Highs for GNU/Linux, All-Time Lows for Microsoft
Morale in Microsoft is low because thousands will get laid off soon (across all departments, except in India). It has become routine because large-scale Microsoft layoffs happen every month, including many layoffs in Africa last year.
We wrote about Botswana at least thrice last year because the trends there - as observed by statCounter - are interesting. It seems like only about 1 in 5 Web requests in Botswana comes from Windows. The market share of Vista 11 is seen as going down. Android dominates the continent. █
