Dr. Miriam Bastian From the Free Software Foundation (FSF) Gives a Talk in a Couple of Weeks at FOSDEM (Brussels, Belgium)
More details in the FOSDEM site:
The FSF's Program Manager, Dr. Bastian, hails from the University of Zurich and later this week her 'boss' (let's face it, he's still in charge) will be giving a talk in Switzerland [1, 2], then head off to India apparently (for a keynote talk).
Dr. Bastian is going to give her own talk (shortly after that) and 4 days ago, writing from Icedove Mail, she revealed that a new page had been created in the LibrePlanet wiki:
"Please add your elevator pitches to" the page, she said. "Happy hacking, Miriam" (the RMS iconic style of greeting).
Well, she has been in this job for nearly 2 years and she likely responded to this contribution by Don Saklad (we linked to it the other day). "Looking for an elevator talk, or even something more brief, that might set the stage for persuading complete novices beginning with their devices," Don wrote.
It's good to see people from all around the world and with very different backgrounds united around digital philosophy. The concepts or the underlying ideas are not limited to any one language. █
