More Microsoft Cuts and Layoffs (Microsoft Media Mole Jordan Novet Tries to Float "Hiring Freezes" Spin After the "Headcount" Spin Failed)
As one might expect... now we're meant to talk about "hiring" or "hiring freezes" instead of mass layoffs everywhere except India
DAYS ago we saw Microsoft-sponsored sites trying the "headcount" spin [1, 2, 3] and now they change the tune again because Microsoft's media operative [1] talks about "hiring freeze" and some sites rush to repeat that [2-4].
Well, "hiring freezes" or not in some particular unit, thousands of Microsoft layoffs are on the way and now everyone speaks of "Meta" (Facebook) in a similar context of "performance-based" layoffs. As someone put is the other day: "Calling them performance based is cr-ppy. Anyone that leaves Microsoft during that time will have a stigma."
Are Microsoft's layoffs due to be implemented today? Probably just a rumour, but the news about Facebook and Zuckerberg will dominate regardless, right? Convenient smokescreen? █
