Chicago Transit Authority Has Dumped Twitter (X), As Did Many Others Without Announcing It (Due to Fear of Right-Wing Mobs)
LOOKING at fairly recent versions of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Web pages, they had Twitter or X in them. That's no longer the case:
"This account is dormant but available as an archive," says their profile in "X". They quit on the final day of 2024.
Notice how they direct or urge people to go to their own Web site. That's how it should be done!
Every government agency (also police) should take control of its communications. If you don't have an account in Gab, then you probably should not have one in "X", either.
Media claims that the value of "X" has "doubled" are fake news from the biggest shareholder (now stakeholder). That just says a lot about the state of today's media, parroting rich people as if their every little lip movement is pure gold. █
