    We are currently in the midst of the 6 Nations rugby tournament. It is held yearly and has 6 nations which take part:

    - England

    - France

    - Ireland

    - Italy

    - Scotland

    - Wales

    It is a seriously fun tournament and I try to catch the majority of the games each year.

    However, what is rugby? Why is it pleasing?

  • tarot: i'm over decks

    i'm surprisingly-abruptly over "decks". it's been hanging over me for so long and it seemed to just snap recently. to the point of being fed up with my own decks and the faffing around with them i've been doing. which of course is an extension and a result of the general consumerist push in this world in the last ten years or so. i want tarot to be about what you do with it. the promise of a Good, or new, or niche deck allowing you to do more, do something different in your practice is a distraction. i don't need to do something else, i need to read cards. who cares if i can read 3 new and different ways with these 3 extra decks, if i'm already not really reading enough to justify the decks i do have?

  • My SD card died

    The SD card in the RPi died and of course I had no backup. Somehow I deleted the old images I dd'd off of the card and did not do a new full backup.

    This however at last motivated me to upgrade to NetBSD 10.1 as the Pi was running 9.3 until it could not boot anymore. Yesterday I copied a fresh 10.1 image to the new card and rudimentarily setup the system, so that npf and blocklistd are running and ssh/mosh is available.

      Finally bought some DNS, so this should no longer go offline. Starting over, but still running a server that is written in Oberon-07, which in turn is run by an instance of 'ncat'.

      After we had some discussion on BBS with the community (mainly the idea belongs to u/ps), I decided to implement a file sharing thingie for gemini, so it would be possible to do it without leaving the protocol or having to host your own capsule.
