Context: Government Sites That Use Centralised CAs Are Still Remotely Controlled by MElon and GAFAM at the Oval Office

We are far from endorsing the far right or tipping our hats to the next leader of Germany. It's hardly even about politics; it's about technology. And the "tech" people do have political orientations.

What's happening in Germany this month might result in quicker adoption of Free software (or domestic software) in Germany and - by extension - the EU.

Those of us who grew in the last century in Europe or north America recognised the NATO 'doctrine'; NATO promotes ODF (we remarked on this several times in recent years; that's still applicable), it is not as Microsoft-friendly as the US government is, and if the US breaks up with NATO (voting along with Russia in the UN, not with NATO), that'll be bad news for GAFAM.

The old "Joe" (not Biden) used to be seen as an ally and protector. This perception is changing.
