Dangers - The Other Side
This is the last scene from Chapter 6 - Dangers. The ghostly fog takes over, and Lee and Lantashi have to decide what to do!
I'm only planning to post Lantashi-related scenes on here, at least right now. Lee and I are making great progress in the story. We just finished the first draft of chapter 9! And we're now about halfway through the story. Hopefully we can finish the first draft in the few couple of months. That is, of course, assuming we aren't eaten by a ghostly grizzly bear ;-D

pseudonym (im)personal
After reading two posts on what we do/don't share on "personal" sites, I'm now thinking about this too.
[...]
After decades of trying to have a Public Unitary Identity across social media and my professional blog, I've nuked nearly all of it from orbit and now do all my online socializing on the small web, behind a pseudonym. Nobody who knew the online professional/personal me from my legal name or any of its variants can now find me, apart from the three-page Neocities site I use to maintain my resume and portfolio for business purposes.
The trick to keeping it that way, of course, is to avoid sharing too many intimate personal details. Eventually those add up. I might not be the only person who grew up in X location or played Y varsity sport for Z college or wrote for Q publication or who was in a major motorcycle accident that widowed me before I turned 40, but add up enough of those details and there's only one person who emerges, eventually.

[03] 🎮 harvest moon innocent life (7/10): mar 15, 2025
a unique, "futuristic" harvest moon title where you play as a robot boy, tasked with saving his home island from the volcanic wrath of the fire spirit. not for all; but for me, a nostalgic revisit. (7/10)

Angel Azteca vs. El Dandy (EMLL 06/11/1990)
I gravitate to mat work like a moth to a flame, and it only makes sense for me to do it. Particularly as I keep trying to fill the blind spot for me that is lucha. The more mat work I watch, the more I fall in love with it. I get sucked in, I am no longer watching the match from a computer, but at times, I can imagine myself vividly in the crowd. It plays perfectly here.

Kiyoshi Tamura vs. Tsuyoshi Kohsaka (RINGS 06/27/1998)
Truth be told, I actively think the fading away of shoot style outside of niche little circles might actively be one of the worst things to happen, because a bunch of this just gets consumed in a vacuum without any understanding of what makes shoot style so great that it leads to a barren, dense analysis of there being "a lack of psychology" & "lack of storytelling," when in actuality, it's ripe with it.

Headless Raspberry Pi 4
A lot have changed over the years, and it has become more difficult to run headless Raspberry Pies. This has all to do with security, the changes are understandable.
My Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 Gb RAM was out of use for some time. The last time it ran, it was on FreeBSD. There is no micro SD card in the slot, so I probably re-purposed that for something else.
Some time ago I tried to revive the board, but got stuck because I didn't have a Micro HDMI connector and the serial console is nowadays disabled by default.

New window manager: niri
I'm giving niri a go. The idea is that a scrollable tiling window manager ("Wayland compositor") is a better fit than just a tiling window manager. For tiling window managers, I just create new stuff and have it maximized. I really can't do the quick splitting and rearranging that it seems to afford. The result is that I start moving stuff to other workspaces, where they're invisible and gone. I'm hoping that new windows popping up next to existing windows makes it feel like a stack.
