Windows at New Low Levels in Madagascar (Population About 33 Million)
Madagascar does not need Microsoft
THIS latest data from statCounter shows Windows falling to new lows in Madagascar while GNU/Linux is up to 3.51%.
We wrote about this country last year and in 2023. The "desktop" (or laptop) era is over; only about 30% of Web requests are estimated to have come from a desktop or laptop and perhaps 20% of the whole comes from Windows (less than 21% based on the aggregated data).
So far this year, in less than 3 month, Microsoft had at least 3 waves of layoffs. 20 hours ago Microsoft's MSN spoke of layoffs (Microsoft had many in Africa last year) in an article entitled "Microsoft announces major HR changes". They have budgetary problems, hence the mass layoffs. Liabilities are enormous - more than Bill 'Epstein' Gates can pay. █
