Matthew J. Garrett (MJG) will have a lot of explaining to do. He and the Serial Strangler are connected professionally (GNOME, Microsoft, and more) and MJG mentioned him by name in communications sent to me, the context being litigation ambitions. They're also connected socially (mutual friends).
Did we expose something not already known and/or available to the public? No.
The Serial Strangler does not even hide it. He refers to MJG as "former Microsoft researcher" (in his own site; see screenshot above). So it seem they're both Microsoft, even directly, and communicate to one another. The person who attacked the site last year and the year before that had said there was an application to work for Microsoft. All those bullies who attack us lately are Microsoft-connected thugs and they don't have legitimate cases, those are SLAPPs [1, 2].
"You might want to point out that he has all of the same information posted to his website," one person told us. "Wow, that's insane that he's suing you for publishing a mugshot."
A mugshot anyone could access from the police site. We have even provided the URL for it.
Whose terrible idea was this? Did they not envision how it would end up? It's becoming a major liability to all those involved because they're not even based in the UK and they cannot point out what we said that was false (or why). Their argument is something along the lines of, "what Roy published damaged my career prospects, so I want Roy to pay me..." █
