Taiwan's Media Covers Closure of Microsoft's "AI" Lab, It's Time to Talk About the Gradual Death of Windows and Implosion of the "AI" Bubble
Contrary to what headlines are mindlessly (like parrots) saying this week, Microsoft "Open" "AI" (slop) is very deep in debt and financial trouble. What's more, the vapourware it spent years shilling (i.e. paying the media to cheer for) is failing to sell and the bubble deflates. Microsoft even openly admits the problems and Microsoft's shares fell more than $72 since my birthday. That's almost 20%.

"I saw an article about Microsoft in Wisconsin the other day," Ryan says. "Huge data center. They plan to open it early, but the article mentioned that they've been canceling many others. The demand just isn't there to justify more. Plus the Wisconsin project is pretty far along and they can run it more cheaply. I have a feeling, this is just a guess, that they want it close to Lake Michigan so they can use the water. There's also a lot of cheap solar and wind energy there. And the overall business climate is friendly, and it's within spitting distance of Chicago."
Earlier this week we showed that mostly Asian media had the 'nerve' to mention Microsoft silently shutting down its 'AI' lab [1, 2]. How many people got laid off? We don't know. It's very secretive.
Here's what press in Taiwan said a few hours ago: Microsoft joins corporate China exodus with Shanghai AI lab closure
Microsoft has closed its AI and IoT laboratory in Shanghai, adding to the growing list of multinational corporations scaling back operations in China.
It's not unthinkable that amid the rise of GNU/Linux [1, 2] Microsoft can hardly charge anything for Windows anymore and as a server (or VM or container) provider Microsoft has failed too (hence mass layoffs in Azure every year since 2020), so all it has now is hype like "AI" and "Quantum". How patient will shareholders be? There will be no financial returns, only financial fraud. █
