statCounter Helps Visualise Just How Deep in Trouble Microsoft is (Especially in Africa)
Microsoft sabotaged efforts to connect Africans and equip them with GNU/Linux laptops. It still has moles doing the same, pushing Windows under the guise of "connectivity".
AFRICA is all about mobility as far as computing goes. Many places do not have wired connections, so they rely on cellular antennas, satellites etc. So this is hardly surprising, based on this month's data from statCounter:
Here's a breakdown by nation (% in the Y axis), demonstrating just how Microsoft chases a dying "market".
In some places the desktop/laptop "form factor" - not just Windows - fell below 10%.
The only "gift" Microsoft can give Africans right now is digital shackles. The only "jobs" Microsoft can give Africans are modern slavery. █
