In Belarus, Yandex is Now Measured as 50 Times More 'Popular' (by Usage) Than Microsoft
To demonstrate just how much of a failure Bing still is (and has long been) one must consider some countries that aren't in western Europe or North America (or by extension NATO). Take Belarus for instance. It's not Russia, but it's very close to it. According to data from statCounter, this is how Microsoft fares there:
Yandex continues to gain, whereas Bing cannot even register at 1%. Last month it was registered or measured at a measly 0.65%.
It's not just Belarus. Last year we said that "Russia's Yandex 5 Times Bigger Than Microsoft... in Ukraine" (it has been true since then).
With adoption rates like these one wonders if there's any point at all even operating in these countries (for Microsoft it's almost certainly costing money - not earning any - to be there and crawl there, comply with legal demands and so on). █
