Military-Grade Anti-Linux Microsoft Propaganda Using Microsoft LLMs in Fake 'News' Sites (Slopfarms)

WE have long written about and commented on the malicious, villainous slopfarm linuxsecurity.com, leveraged by Dave Wreski for SEO spam to promote his company (Guardian Digital, Inc).

Now get a load of this LLM slop:

Microsoft GitHub: Malicious Go Modules Delivering Disk-Wiping Payloads

We already rebutted this about 3 times. The issue here isn't "Go"(lang) or "Linux", it is about Microsoft transmitting malware to computers and thus compromising them. Of course this is not a real article but merely an amplifier of FUD:

This attack demonstrates the vulnerabilities in Go's open ecosystem and calls for idened awareness and better security practices. Let’s dissect the mechanics of this attack and explore how developers can protect their environments against this exploit and similar supply-chain threats.

This is part of a pattern. This slopfarm does this almost every day (except weekends). Usually 2-3 times per day.

Blaming "open source" for Russia having offensive teams which may or may not leverage public-accessible code (as many can and many do):

The Hidden Risks of Russian-Linked Open-Source Tool easyjson

Also LLM slop:

Let’s examine how easyjson is used, why its ties to VK are cause for concern, and what steps you can take to mitigate these risks while continuing to rely on open-source tools.

As far as "Linux" goes, linuxsecurity.com is the worst slopfarm out there. Some have given up already. Some have been delisted or cautioned [1, 2]. As for BetaNoise, we've not lost sight of its LLM slop. We'll probaly publish Slopwatch some time today or in the weekend.
