Radio
I never listened to a radio station before, so I decided to listen to one. More specifically from the United Kingdom (BBC across the Channel Islands at 1026.00). Im not actually using a real radio.

Not Quite a New Leg
It's been a while since I posted. That isn't too much of a surprise, blogging is sometimes difficult for me when I'm under stress. But, there are times like now when things have relaxed a little and I figured it would be good to make a post. If I'm lucky, I'll do even a few more on what is going on my writing and coding aspects.
Some years ago, I [[2023 Spine Injury|fell and smashed my knee]] into driveway. It was a nasty injury and took me almost a month before I could kneel again, but there was a lingering pain that continued to get worse. First slowly with a tingling in my toes and a constant pressure but steadily becoming a constant, unrelenting agony.
I managed to hold off for about eighteen months before I was struggling to stand for more than a few seconds and I couldn't really walk in the mornings beyond a hobble from room to room. When I brushed my teeth, I had to half-crouch and lean against the sink just to remain standing. Even a grocery store run knocked me out.

LSD2 [Ed: Seems like a lonely person gone mad]
I woke up around 6am on Sunday, and shortly after I decided to try my new batch of LSD.
By 8am I took a bit more than 25ug spliting a tab in 4
Since it was on an empty stomach, I started to feel an effect 20 minutes in.

Karate Dance
Last Saturday was quite the full day.
I started early in the morning with some stretches and Tai Chi to then head to the gym where we were to do our seasonal Karate grading.
The students were quite nervous and two of them passed with very low grade while the rest were all pretty good.

Novigrad – Dajla
Today was a no-car day. Yay! We got up, had breakfast, went for a walk, came back, and went for a slow 16km jog along the coast, with a stop for water and palačinke (crêpes). So nice!

shopping is an exasperating nightmare
Ditching Oligarch Tech, blocking ads, avoiding "algorithmic recommendations," and eschewing anything with an infinite-scroll feed has also rearranged my shopping habits. I have good news and bad news about this.

Waiting for the world to bend around you
I know this was about the world as it's own thing, not about the person's world
But nobody cares about the world as it's own thing, you only ever care about your perception of it
You cannot care about something you don't know about. I hope.
And what you know of the world bends around you.
Your perception bends, and breaks, especially if you wait for it to.

Sunrise Observations 2025-05-05
The sky is mostly cloudy. Most of the clouds to the N and E are either white-pink or a deep pink color. The clouds on the other half of the sky are a dirty pink, i.e., grey with hints of pink.
To the NE, I see many patches of bright white-blue and light-blue sky, above the trees. Around 20 to 30° elevation, I see a large, complicated cloud with waves of light pink and red-pink.
To the E, just above the tree tops, a handful of small, slightly puffy — but mostly flat — clouds are a mix of grey-blue and red-pink, intermingled, which gives a purple look overall. These small clouds have a large white-pink cloud behind them.
Bird sounds are coming from all directions: - One bird gives off a warbling sound that slides up, and then down. - Another gives off long triplets of a single high pitch. - Another has a rapid trill of around 4 notes lasting about half-a-second, repeating twice about every 1.5 seconds - Another bird mixes staccato notes with a short, vibrating trill

Making My Phone Minimal
Olauncher replaces the built-in Android home screen with a simple list of 0-8 apps of your choosing. There are no icons, no folders, no widgets. There are wallpapers, but as you can see I’ve gotten rid of that as well. Swiping up summons a list of all your apps along with the keyboard for search.
Olauncher seems to be the common ancestor for a whole family of launchers. These launchers all share similar design and functionality and are pretty easy to come by if you search F-droid. If you like the simple list design then it’s worth taking a look at a few. One that I really like is YAM Launcher because of its extra options.
