The Slow Death of Windows Will Mean the Inevitable Demise of Microsoft
In Vietnam, Windows is now measured at around 8% (mobile grew beyond 80%). It's the same in Maharlika, where OS trends show Windows collapsing. Windows is also steadily down in Thailand.
It's kind of hard to envision Windows ever making gains or staging a comeback, more so now with tariffs and financial strain. Usually, Windows isn't purchased. People don't buy Windows. They just buy a computer. The Windows copy on it gets licensed by OEMs and even that seems to be ending in Asia. Some very large OEMs no longer preload Windows and some of them offer considerable discounts for going with GNU/Linux instead of Windows.
Remember that Windows is the "core" product of Microsoft. Once people stop using Windows, it'll be hard for Microsoft to sell anything to them. █
