Usefully enough, Bloomberg surveyed* the sorts of roles impacted and for Washington alone (not complete numbers) it looks a bit like this:

So this is about removing "Expensive" workers. Not "Low-Performing" workers. It's also not about "AI"**. █

There's no money in it. It's a goddamn bubble. For how much longer can Microsoft con shareholders or ask the US government (or Saudi government) for bailouts? Guess where Scam Altman traveled this week. Still looking for his imaginary 7 trillion dollars in a country that lacks anywhere near that yet seeks/strives to control minds everywhere. Sportwashing does not go far enough.
