Abuse Inside the Polish Patent Office (UPRP) - Part V: Breaking the Law, Just Like EPO
Alicja Adamczak actively helped the law-breaking at the EPO
This series is related to the EPO in the sense that we're finding in UPRP similar abuses to those we've observed at the EPO. We'll continue to highlight similarities between the two.
In Part I, Part II and Part III we gave the gist of some (not all) issues and in the previous part, Part IV, we explained some political relevance. We won't talk about the Polish election or political parties as we're not a political site and aren't specialists in Polish politics.
No doubt, however, the problems at UPRP will become a political headache [1, 2]. It is a major liability.
Particular criticism, we have learned, is directed at the manipulation of data in the Office's databases and at legislative initiatives (draft UD263/UC81) which, in violation of the law, has not been subjected to dissent and continues to threaten the stability of Poland’s IP protection system.
We'll hopefully cover some of the pertinent details later this year. Stay tuned. █
