Back in these alleys (though not quite the regular)
It's been a good while since I last put my foot on these alleys, let alone this particular pub, but ho boy I missed it a good bunch despite that -- I'll have a nice, big cup of coffee mixed with oat milk & Bailey's Irish Cream dear bartender, thank you.
Not the best choice of drink at this hour in the night, perhaps, but who cares really? I've got a neat little saving of small things to celebrate in life, and the oat milk balances out the caffeine and the alcohol, so even if my sleep may be restless tonight it's worth taking the risk,

entered and
The bartender left with the order and i took my bag of weed and went outside for a smoke. When i came back the discussion got heated. And cold beer was waiting for me. in my mind i saw that everyone has their own truth. And most politely i was sipping the pint and was happy i could take part in it.

America at the Crossroads: Why We Shouldn’t Go to War with Iran
I write these words as a concerned citizen, a father, a neighbor, and a believer in the promise of America. My name is Steve. I was born and raised in Missouri, where I run a small hardware store and dream, as many Americans do, of a better, safer country for my children. Today, my heart is heavy with disappointment, anxiety, and frustration over the recent decision by our President to intervene militarily in the conflict between Israel and Iran, culminating in the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities. This article is not just my voice, but the echo of millions of Americans who are tired of endless wars, yearning for peace, and demanding that our leaders listen to us.
[...]
We have been here before. We watched as our leaders led us into Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, all with the promise of quick victories and greater security.

OpenWRT Surgery
After a while when I didn't have ideas for new phlog posts, now I have ideas and no time to write them. But I did finally get around to setting up my final OpenWRT configuration for my home router, v. 23 within my router's 32MB of RAM much better than the default. It's final because, as noted in my post 2025-01-09Hit_and_MIPS.txt (oh dear, this took me six month to get back to!), OpenWRT 24 has dropped the build option for router boards in my router's hardware family, which at least gives me the excuse to hack deeper into the works without fearing breakage after upgrades.
I'd like to write my usual long ramble, but since allowing time for writing this post is under the excuse of it being notes for my own later reference, I'll go into quick dot-point mode:
* Building with OpenWRT Image Builder on x86_64 VPS (because the image builder is a huge download so I don't want to do that over my home internet connection)
