The 'Case' of the Serial Strangler From Microsoft is a Lot of Copypasta (Maybe Also LLM Slop) From the Matthew Garrett 'Case'
5RB deserves to know and the matter shall be properly reported in due course (when the time is right)
Copypasta with a high fee (for the licence to "print money for oneself") means that dockets get filled with cruft. It's wasting courts' time. It obstructs justice by denying access to Judges (by those who really need them, notably British people, not Americans from Microsoft, a company that cuts off judges worldwide). By all means revisit:
- Weaponisation of For-Profit Dockets - Part I: Hiding Behind Lawyers (or Guns for Hire) After Abusing Many People and Even Strangling Women While Microsoft Paid Salaries
- Weaponisation of For-Profit Dockets - Part II: Hiding Behind Lawyers and Barristers Who Lack Standards so as to Engage in Classic Corporate Extortion
- Weaponisation of For-Profit Dockets - Part III: No More Media Lawsuits From Brett Wilson LLP This Year, One Can Only Guess Why
There is no doubt (it is evident and easily provable) that text was extensively reused for two clients that brought SLAPPs upon us. So we're now checking if LLMs were used as well.
Damien Charlotin's "AI [LLM] Hallucination [disinformation] Cases Database" contains examples of incidents and ramifications following those incidents.
"If it turns out that Microsoft is using slop," a reader told us, "it should also be added to Damien's database. The judges have been all too soft on allowing LLM-assisted fraud instead of sanctioning or disbarring."
