Linux Journal Wants Ads on Its LLM Slop or Ads as 'Articles'
In order to better understand what Slashdot (the company, not the site) does to Linux Journal, as per the articles at the bottom, I've checked their own words in the site:
They are very clear that "Linux Journal is currently owned by Slashdot Media." Many old articles disappeared (PIA didn't pass everything).
So it's basically another BetaNews. They just try to 'monetise' the 'brand' - i.e. same as the marketing company-owned ZDNet, with sponsors (clients) like IBM and the Linux Foundation. It might seem like news, but they don't say who pays for it or why particular topics are covered in particular ways. We are looking at you, SJVN. █
