Interstitial Existence
I'm trying to work through some complex feelings and thoughts right now. I feel as if my life has approached on of those pivotal crossroads - one of those moments where, though difficult, a meaningful choice must be made. Things here aren't getting better, in fact they're getting worse. Do we leave the life we've been building here to return abroad? Do I, in my late thirties, abandon the stable career I've carved to begin again in uncertainty, but this time with a family in tow? Do I sell the house and all we own? Give away the pets? There's a lot to consider - I would of course do it if it turned out to be the best choice for my family. But the inability to know what the right choice here is kills me. There's no real guidance here, I'm working off of vibes and gut - and the risk of making the wrong choice with the best intentions is high.

The longest blink
How long has it been since I set foot in Nightfall city?
Fiddling in my pockets, I produce a small leather wallet, spilling from the top are various tickets and receipts.
The last NEX ticket says January 2021, that's.. that's a lot ago.
It's also not so long ago.
How does time work in a reality where one might be travelling the day before, and stuck at home the next one?
I wonder what really happened in these last months.

Met Office should name storms after fossil fuel companies, say campaigners
Ha ha, yes!
Note for non-UK people: "Met Office" is a government weather forecaster, short for "Meteorological Office".

Transcript "The whole account is not over yet" Amos Oz's last lecture from 2018
That violence is the ultimate mountain in the world.
I have always thought all my life that even now its ultimate hair in the world is aggression, aggression and aggression must be stopped by force. It often takes a big stick to restrain and subdue aggression. Aggression is the mother of all violence in the world.
And so I never believed in the days of Caleb Noth.
Two distant cousins of mine, relatives.
Jewish women from Germany.
In their teenage years, they spent years in Nazi concentration camps.
Those who liberated it from the Nazi concentration camps are not today peaceful demonstrators with slogans and olive branches and doves, but Allied soldiers with helmets and submachine guns.I will never forget that. That's why I'm not a pacifist, but a peace fighter or an advocate of peace.

Some small thoughts
I'm struggling a lot lately with the screen stuff, and hyperfixations. So, I'm trying something new again. What I'm doing is setting up a list of places I want to check regularly, alongside a list of things I could be doing instead, and putting them on an HTML page I'm setting as my browser's homepage. Ideally, I'll see it and be reminded to pick up a book instead. More likely, it'll blend into the background.

Autocorrect
I totally meant to have this space named "drwx" and not "draw" (damn autocorrect). However, I thought it's kind of funny because I go by "Drew", so why not take on a more present tense form of myself?
Anyways, I find HTTP more and more depressing. Perhaps I'll abandon my site and move things here or run side by side for a little while until I figure all this out. I just don't enjoy using the internet as much these days yet I have this urge to write.

sudden calm
do I trust this sudden calm is the storm only resting gathering strength feet in water waiting for the smallest pebble to break the surface the tiniest crack and I crumble as I hold you at a distance so you won't see what no one sees I know nothing I feel everything
