Microsoft Will Shut Down More Studios This Week, Its Media Operatives Will Tell Lies About the Magnitude of the Shutdowns and Layoffs (They Always Do)
Today's news focuses on Turn10 [1,2], but it's about a lot more [3], Turn10 is just one of many [4].
As we said this morning, expect 1) Many Microsoft cuts and 2) Microsoft moles in the media spreading fake figures, as usual.
Then the US goes on holiday. By the time journalists return from holiday it's already "old news" and the "news cycle" compels them to explore topics other than Microsoft's rapid collapse.
For years to come people then repeat false numbers (fed by Microsoft to its moles in the major media) about the waves of layoffs. So far this year it seems like Microsoft laid off about 15,000 workers (not counting next week's). Many people who get counted as "workforce" are "temps" or similar. █
