    As part of my keyboard rabbit-hole, I've been thinking about what I'd like to do with the keyboard - mostly, it's just writing out entries for this gemlog. With occasional other writing on top of that. To that end, I've been considering distraction-free writing tools, most recently, the Freewrite Alpha.

  • Towel

    Another option is to throw a towel over the monitor and to then hammer away at the keys for a while. And where would you be without a towel?

  • Hytale Mismanagement, Apparently

    Just found out Hytale is being cancelled, and pretty upset by that. This reeks of insane mismanagement. Apparently, one of the former developers, DevSlashNull, came out and said the problem was not Riot (who bought Hypixel Studios in 2020), but internal problems to the Hytale team specifically. Additionally, Simon, one of the cofounders of Hypixel, blamed the producers.

    • Bored and Exhausted

      Not gonna lie, I've done so much stuff with Gemini: a search engine, Q&A site, a music library service and radio, youtube and twitch proxies, misfin geminimail, AuraRepo, a 25% finished MMO game, a Sefaria proxy, a whole server suite, my own GUI browser, but, y'all, I am so freaking bored and exhausted at the same time.

      None of what I've made is exciting anymore.
