Microsoft Lost 400,000,000 Windows Users, According to Microsoft
In Africa's (by far) largest population it looks like this:
Nigeria has a lot of people in it. It's one of the world's most populous countries. For a couple of years Windows has had very serious issues there and also mass layoffs. Even entire operations of Microsoft were shut down in Nigeria. Microsoft had long relied in corruption there to undermine GNU/Linux adoption. That one incident predates Android, which has since then reduced Windows to a mere 7% in "market share" [1, 2] and left Microsoft scrambling.

Maybe in some countries some people still buy new computers with Windows on them. However, as time goes by, more people adopt smaller computers and many people replace Windows with GNU/Linux, as they don't really need a new computer.
Bear this in mind when the news speaks of Microsoft layoffs tomorrow. That has nothing to do with "hey hi", it's about Microsoft failing. █
