Former Unity senior client partner Rod Stafford has been sentenced to 22 years in prison after being charged with 33 sexual offenses.
As reported by The Oxford Mail in April 2025, the offenses include rape, sexual assault, engaging in non-penetrative activity with a child, and more.

Oxford Crown Court told Game Developer that Stafford, who also used the name Roderick Bryce-Hagain and Roderick Bryce-Stafford, was sentenced earlier today.

We are not arguing that Whitehurst is responsible for this, but the Microsoft companies tend to attract such people and it seems evident that Whitehurst now participates in a Microsoft proxy which attacks Free software. He increased his role there.

Whitehurst was never truly into Free software; he is greedy, unprincipled, and self-serving; he's also responsible for what happened to Red Hat, CentOS and Fedora after the sellout. Many people never trusted Whitehurst; he proved them right. █
