The Slopfarms Are Taking Real News Articles and Replacing Them With Lies Generated by Machines
Latest fake "news" from Brian Fagioli: (with slop image)
Machine Learning is not the same as slop. Unlike slop, real "AI" actually incorporates some useful information, it's not just a bucket of words (very large bucket).
Fagioli is still at it, firing away fake news after BetaNews gave him the boot and blocked him (his comments there were deleted, dubbing him "spammer"). He's pushing his spam into sites that should know better, using them like Trojan horses that would help override the reports he is plagiarism.
Bluntly speaking, Fagioli is nothing short of an online scammer. He's a Serial Slopper with no creativity and he does great harm.
This morning we mentioned his latest and said: "Meanwhile the Serial Slopper (SS) Fagioli is plagiarising Marius Nestor, much as Nestor predicted only hours earlier: (he even correctly said what topic it would be, Calibre)..."
The person that Fagioli is plagiarising told us: "And the headline is FAKENEWS because Calibre does NOT add "support for 2024 Kidles".... LOL. Those and every other Kindle have already been supported for a long time now. The new Calibre version only adds support for generating page number files (APNX) on 2024 and newer MTP-based Kindle readers."
So please flag Fagioli as spammer, just like his last employer did. Here's the thing: if BetaNews considers him worth deleting, why would anyone else bother? He's a "bullshit generator", to borrow what RMS calls LLMs in general.
The other day Fagioli also published LLM slop about ESWIN, as did this other slopfarm in this address. The slop is obvious and easy to spot, not to stop. linuxconfig.org is now a SLOPFARM, basically a zombie site which came back to life just to drown the Web with BS. The same goes for Linux Journal. █
