Google 'Search' is Fast Becoming No Better Than Social Control Media Infested With Bots

Today I tried using "Google" (Alphabet) "Search" to look for a very specific and very precise quote. Instead, Google spewed out a bunch of totally irrelevant, totally wrong LLM slop at me. Its "word/s salad" was placed at the top of the page, distracting from anything that could in fact be useful.
There are reports this week about Google increasing this sort of thing. Decades ago people accused Google of being US government propaganda in the form of search results pages (SERPs) and now we see Google acting like an "agent" (slop, not intelligence) trying to direct people to think/act a certain way.
To me, personally, Google is in many ways dead. I don't use Android, I don't use Google disservices (I very much loathe how many people use Gmail, which means their mail to and from me gets scanned by Google for commercial gain and spy agencies), and the main impact the 'Google things' seem to have comes in the form of invisible trackers in many billions of Web pages. We don't even use YouTube here anymore; we use Invidious. YouTube became an obnoxious ad-spewing machine, trying to fake a "growth" in revenue by just spewing out more and more ads (even if YouTube still loses money).
Google emerged almost 30 years ago as a company looking to organise the Web and direct people towards informative pages. That Google is dead. █
