As Expected, Google in the UK Now Experiments With Slop Instead of Web Search
Hours ago it started looking like this ("All" means Web search, "AI mode" means slop, not intelligence)
Yesterday we explained that Google's Web search - its bread and butter - is collapsing under a weight of slop. Web search aside, Google's so-called "news" syndicator (Google News) is already manipulated to death by slopfarms. It's horrible. You look for something there - not just "Linux" (our 'case study') - and maybe 50% of the results are fake 'articles' composed by bots. It's very unpleasant. It renders the whole thing worse than useless and it's pumping out fake (slop) images*.
At this point more people ought to stop and think: Does Google's search engine deserve trust? If not, then how else to browse the Web? Maybe there's another way?
Google is conditioning people to get a nutrition of slop, not food. That's a sinister agenda. █
