Microsoft already announcing some plans to shut down Vista 11 ("SE")

With "Microsoft ending Windows 11 SE support October 2026" (link above) we can sort of assume that it was a failure, partly because GNU/Linux and Google capture a lot of the educational market (schools) and Canada, where many schools use Chromebooks, shows that GNU/Linux is on the rise at Microsoft's expense. This is real problem for Microsoft, which is laying off tens of thousands of workers this year while borrowing obscene amounts of money. █
